Top Workplace winners were determined solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party employee engagement firm which measured several aspects of the employee experience and component themes, including, among others, employees being respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to execute.

The Washington Post annually compiles Top Workplaces that are leaders in employee satisfaction and engagement. This year, more than 8,800 area companies were invited to participate.
